Your Debit Dawg card is your Student ID. With your SIU Debit Dawg account you don’t have to worry about carrying cash on campus. As long as you have money in your account, you’ll enjoy convenient purchasing power without carrying cash at many locations on and off campus. Deposits may be made at these locations.

It's Safe!

The Debit Dawg Account is safer than carrying cash. Funds deposited into your personal account may be used only by you with your SIU ID card. This program is available to all SIU students, faculty and staff, and is separate from any University Housing Meal Plan.

Gift Certificates

If you want to give money to your son, daughter, grandson, granddaughter, or friend who attends Southern Illinois University, and they have an active Debit Dawg account, you can deposit the money in several convenient ways. Once you have deposited the funds into the Debit Dawg account then you can print one of our provided Gift Certificate images to give to them!

How to Load Money

Three options for loading funds into your Debit Dawg account.

Deposit Machines

Funds (cash only) can be loaded into your Debit Dawg account at any of these deposit machines located around campus.

  • Morris Library (Information Commons, 1st Floor)
  • Simmons Law School (Library, 1st Floor)
  • Student Center (ID Office, 2nd Floor)

Making Online Deposits

  1. Go to SalukiNet
  2. Click on the Sign In drop down menu and select the green Sign In button
  3. In the Network ID box type your Network ID (siu85xxxxxxx)
  4. In the Password box type your Network Password
  5. Search for Debit Dawg
  6. Select the Debit Dawg icon
  7. The first line will show your current balance
  8. Click on Deposit to Debit Dawg by Credit Card to add money to your Debit Dawg account
  9. Select Deposit to Debit Dawg by Credit Card
  10. On the “Deposit to Debit Dawg” screen, enter the dollar amount in the Amount Section then click Proceed to Confirm Amount button
  11. Click Proceed to Authorize.net to deposit: $X.XX by Credit Cart to your Debit Dawg Account button
  12. Complete all pertinent information on the authorization page and click Pay Now to process
  13. You will now be directed to a page thanking you for your deposit

Funds deposited will be available for use within 5 to 10 minutes.
