It's Convenient

Your Debit Dawg card is your Student ID. With your SIU Debit Dawg account you don’t have to worry about carrying cash on campus. As long as you have money in your account, you’ll enjoy convenient purchasing power without carrying cash at many locations on and off campus. Deposits may be made in person at the Student Center Business Office windows or at these locations.

It's Safe!

The Debit Dawg Account is safer than carrying cash. Funds deposited into your personal account may be used only by you with your SIU ID card. This program is available to all SIU students, faculty and staff, and is separate from any University Housing Meal Plan.

Gift Certificates

If you want to give money to your son, daughter, grandson, granddaughter, or friend who attends Southern Illinois University, and they have an active Debit Dawg account, you can deposit the money in several convenient ways. Once you have deposited the funds into the Debit Dawg account then you can print one of our provided Gift Certificate images to give to them!

How to Load Money

Three options for loading funds into your Debit Dawg account.

Student Center Business Office Windows

The Student Center Business Office Windows are located on the second floor of the Student Center.

The Student Center Business Office Windows accepts cash, check, or credit card to load funds into your Debit Dawg account. Money is loaded within the hour.

Deposit Machines

Funds (cash only) can be loaded into your Debit Dawg account at any of these deposit machines located around campus.

Making Online Deposits

Go to SalukiNet
Click on the Sign In drop down menu and select the green Sign In button
In the Network ID box type your Network ID (siu85xxxxxxx)
In the Password box type your Network Password
Search for Debit Dawg
Select the Debit Dawg icon
The first line will show your current balance
Click on Deposit to Debit Dawg by Credit Card to add money to your Debit Dawg account
Select Deposit to Debit Dawg by Credit Card
On the “Deposit to Debit Dawg” screen, enter the dollar amount in the Amount Section then click Proceed to Confirm Amount button
Click Proceed to Authorize.net to deposit: $X.XX by Credit Cart to your Debit Dawg Account button
Complete all pertinent information on the authorization page and click Pay Now to process
You will now be directed to a page thanking you for your deposit

Funds deposited will be available for use within 5 to 10 minutes.

Debit Dawg Rewards

Debit Dawg Rewards is a customer loyalty program designed to reward you for using Debit Dawg when making purchases at the Student Center’s Starbucks, Marketplace Food Court and Noodles & Rice.

How It Works

The SIU ID card, when funds have been loaded onto it, becomes your Debit Dawg. No need to keep track of multiple cards; it's all on one! When you make a purchase at Starbucks and Marketplace Food Court with your Debit Dawg, you will earn Dawg Dollars. Every Sunday your rewards are calculated and the percentage of Dawg Dollars earned is based on what you spent during the past week. Your reward, from 4 to 8 percent, will be placed on your Debit Dawg the following Monday. The reward percentage varies depending on what you spend week-to-week.

You can let your Dawg Dollars build up throughout the semester or use your reward each week as it becomes available. Your reward balance will appear on your receipts or can be found at: idcard.siu.edu.
How To Use Your Rewards

When redeeming your Dawg Dollars, you must tell the cashier PRIOR to your purchase. Rewards cannot be applied after a purchase has been completed. Rewards can only be used toward future purchases at the Student Center’s Starbucks and Marketplace Food Court. No cash refunds.
Do My Rewards Expire?

Your rewards will continue to accumulate throughout the semester but they must be spent before the semester ends. When each semester ends, unused rewards are removed and you begin earning again the next semester.
